KA Paul takes legal action against RGV for morphing photo; filmmaker deletes pic

Hyderabad: Since the minute Ram Gopal Varma announced that he was making a movie called Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu, the director and his film has been making headlines every other day.

From the title to the teaser and then the first singles to the trailer and what not? Everything that has been happening with and around the movie has become controversial, giving a lot of excitement and entertainment to its fans.

The song which was hitting hard at evangelist KA Paul has become viral and it has hurt his emotions. Paul so many times took to social media to talk about this and finally, after losing all the patience, he has decided to take legal action against the director.

On Monday, a police complaint was filed by Jyoti Begal, treasurer of K A Paulā€™s Charity City Gospel, accusing Varma of morphing an image of Paul and her standing alongside former President Pranab Mukherjee. Talking about the same, the evangelist addressed a press conference on Tuesday.

Paul addressed the media in Hyderabad via Skype from New York and requested the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to prohibit the screening of RGV's political thriller Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu.

Paul alleged that Varma was portraying him in the movie without his permission and also in a demeaning manner. He cannot malign anyone in the name of freedom of expression, the evangelist said.

As for the police complaint, Begal said she and Paul had met Pranab Mukherjee in December 2016. Varma, however, had morphed an image from that time, showing himself handing over a film certificate to Paul and shared it on social media with the intention of ridiculing Paul.

The image has gone viral on social media and after realising that he is in a soup, RGV deleted the pic from his social media accounts.
