BJP Minister Sriramulu daughter’s wedding invitation costs Rs 1L each

Hyderabad: Pictures of the nine-day ‘Big Fat Indian wedding’ of Karnataka Health Minister B Sriramulu's daughter Rakshita’s have gone viral and the Invitation card of the marriage being particularly among major attractions.
The card is a gold-plated box, which when it is opened starts with renditions of ‘Om bur Buvaswaha’ (Hindu Sloka). The card has a small idol of Lord Ganesh with small containers having haldi and kumkum. The card more like a six-page magazine ends with a container holding mouth freshener and a smaller one with saffron. According to sources, each invitation card costs around Rs. one lakh and has been given to a select few guests.
Rakshita married Hyderabad’s Lalith Sanjeev Reddy, a fellow-MBA. Their reception was held at Bangalore’s Palace Grounds. The nine-day ceremony, ranked among the costliest in Karnataka history, began at Bellary on February 27.
According to media estimates, around Rs 500 crore was spent on the lavish wedding, which was graced by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, among others.
