A source said the movie was stuck due to a technical glitch. “Director Hemant Madhukar is seeking help from the visual effects team to digitally clean some scenes. He is also enhancing the looks of the actors through ‘digital surgery’. All that is delaying the release of the film,” the source added.
The film also stars Anjali, Shalini Pandey, and Hollywood actor Michael Madsen in crucial roles. Anushka plays a deaf and mute character while Madhavan plays her husband in the film which revolves around a murder. The entire film has been shot in Seattle, USA.
Originally shot in Tamil and Telugu, the filmmakers also plan to release ‘Nishabdam’ in English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film has been titled ‘Silence’ in English and Hindi. “It is scheduled for an OTT premier and the producers have signed a deal for Rs. 26 crores,” the source said. He further said the "corrections" are going to escalate the costs.
