Hyderabad: Back Local Speciality Coffee House at AOC Gate, Wellington Road, Marredpally in Secunderabad, is a popular place not only for coffee but for continental meals, fast food and desserts.
Back Local is designed very aesthetically with clean lines, nice furniture and lots of plants placed strategically to give the place a green look. Back Local is known for its delicious coffee, cold brew and Tiramisu, as well as tasty pasta, pizza and rice bowls.
The place has a cosy and relaxing atmosphere, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The service is quick, the staff are friendly, and the menu is large with a variety of options. The food here is delicious with good plating.
Coolers and smoothies
When it comes to trying something to cool down, there is a lot of choice from watermelon, ginger and mint coolers to coconut water mojito and blueberry and banana smoothies. The Vietnamese Coffee was authentic, and it hit the spot on a warm evening.
Soups, salads and starters
The hearty vegetable soup had a wonderful mix of vegetables, which made my taste buds sing. The Caesar Salad was crunchy and delicious. The Kheema toast consisted of perfectly cooked spicy minced lamb served on buttered toast.
Non-vegetarian continental mains
The Grilled Lamb Chops were succulent, perfectly seasoned and charred to smoky perfection, served with herbed butter vegetables and mashed potatoes. Sweet Paprika Roast Chicken, served with steamed carrots and broccoli, was tender, juicy and bursting with flavour.
The grilled prawns with caper butter were unusual, and they had a delicate flavour. It consisted of grilled tiger prawns served with buttered vegetables and garlic-tossed spaghetti. Every dish is presented like a work of art and plated with care and creativity.
Wide vegetarian options
Vegetarians have a good choice of soups, starters and mains. The Thai Green Curry, Baked Cheesy Vegetables and Grilled Mediterranean vegetables served with roasted baby potatoes were all delicious.
Italian Dishes
There is a vast choice of pizzas and pasta too. The Spinach and Shitake Mushroom Gnocchi with Ricotta cheese was very authentic.
Desserts include many Mango-themed sweet treats, pancakes with berries and Tiramisu. There is also a speciality breakfast menu, which is very popular with repeat customers.
