Hyderabad: Burma Burma, an authentic Burmese specialty restaurant and tea room, has opened its largest outlet in India, situated in Knowledge City, HITECH City, Hyderabad. This restaurant brings a delightful array of Burmese dishes to the vibrant food scene in Hyderabad, celebrating the culture, cuisine, and cooking styles of Burma.



Co-founded by childhood friends Chirag Chhajer and Ankit Gupta, Burma Burma has garnered acclaim for its extensive beverage offerings and unique yet delicious Burmese-inspired food. Voted No. 34 at the Conde Nast Traveller Top Restaurant Awards 2023, it has gained recognition as a unique culinary destination.

The restaurant's co-founder, Ankit Gupta, draws inspiration from his mother's heirloom recipes and the culinary team's research trips across Burma to create a diverse and mouthwatering menu.




The restaurant's signature dishes include Mango Salad, Spicy Tea Leaf & Avocado Salad, Lotus Root Chips, Samosa Soup, Steamed Buns with Brown Onion and Roasted Chilli, Burmese Falafel, Mandalay Noodle Bowl, Mekong Curry, and Rangoon Baked Milk. The menu also highlights the beloved Burmese dish, Khowsuey, which offers a fragrant coconut milk curry infused with lemongrass and tamarind, served with a choice of noodles.





Desserts at Burma Burma feature reimagined traditional Burmese sweets, international desserts, and artisanal ice creams. The Saffron and Samuza Cheesecake, Rangoon Baked Milk, and Tagu Piyan, a coconut panna cotta with sago, are among the delectable dessert options.



The restaurant's beverage program is extensive and unique, with an array of artisanal teas, noble coolers, lemonades, bubble teas, and an elaborate selection of hand-picked and brewed teas served at the table. The beverage offerings are crafted with modern techniques, including zero-proof drinks and smoking cocktails.




Burma Burma's innovative bubble tea menu includes flavors like Taro Latte, Jasmine Cheese Foam, and Mango Raspberry, along with a variety of toppings, making it a delightful complement to the restaurant's cuisine.
