Hyderabad: As Hyderabad transitions into summer, the cityā€™s culinary landscape is adapting to the seasonā€™s demands. From refreshing summer menus at popular cafes to the festive indulgences of Ramzan, eateries are curating menus to match the changing weather and cultural celebrations.

Summer menus bring fresh, seasonal flavours

With the rise in temperatures, restaurants are focusing on light, refreshing meals that incorporate summer produce. Toscano, a well-known eatery in Madhapur, has introduced a summer menu featuring fresh fruits, cooling beverages and light dishes.

Among the new offerings, their Summer Crostini stands out, served with toppings like stracciatella cheese, olives and avocado. The Mango and Melon Salad brings together ripe mangoes, sliced melons, olives and smoked fior di latte cheese, complemented by a sweet balsamic reduction. For those looking for heartier options, the Summer Sandwich features buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, lettuce, and guacamole in soft sourdough bread.

Drinks on the menu include the Redelicious, a watermelon and cranberry-based cooler, and the Mango Delight, a piƱa colada-inspired drink made with Alphonso mango pulp, coconut cream, and pineapple.

At the newly opened CafƩ Flynn in Khajaguda, the focus is on open, breezy spaces and a mix of Italian and continental cuisine. Their Spiced Chicken Pizza, topped with jalapenos, roasted bell peppers and cheddar cheese, is already a favourite. Other highlights include the Falafel and Hummus Bowl, served with sumac onions and the Chicken in Fine Herb Rice, which pairs boiled chicken in a white sauce with sautƩed vegetables and herb rice.

Ramzan special menus celebrate tradition

With the arrival of Ramzan, eateries across Hyderabad are embracing the festive spirit with traditional dishes.

Peanuts Bar in Hitech City has curated a Ramzan special menu featuring some of Hyderabadā€™s most cherished delicacies.

One of the standout dishes is the Corn Samosa, a variation of the classic snack, filled with spiced corn and served with mint chutney. A key highlight is the Haleem, a slow-cooked meat and wheat dish known for its rich, creamy texture, topped with ghee, fried onions and fresh mint.

For kebab lovers, the Shami Kebab offers a crispy outer layer with a soft, flavorful filling, served with paratha. Another traditional favourite, the Lukhmi, features a crisp, flaky pastry stuffed with spiced keema.

These special menus reflect Hyderabadā€™s evolving food scene, blending seasonal ingredients with cultural favourites to offer diverse dining experiences.
