Hyderabad: Fluke Curry is a much-visited restaurant above Canara Bank in Sainikpuri, where every dish tells a story. The name Fluke Curry is a loving tribute to the cherished memories of the founders Varun and Puja.
The story behind Fluke Curry
It all began with Varun’s beloved mother’s cooking, particularly her delectable Aloo Curry.
Whenever she crafted this special dish to perfection, her two adoring sons would affectionately call it ‘Fluke Curry’, a playful nod to how delightfully surprising and delicious it was.
This lighthearted term became a fond inside joke, capturing the joy and laughter they shared around the kitchen table.
It symbolizes more than just a recipe; it’s a testament to their mother’s culinary magic and the fun-filled moments they enjoyed together.
Varun says, “By naming our cafe Fluke Curry, we honour those sweet memories and the love that inspired them. Here, every dish is made with the same care and joy, creating new moments for you to savour and enjoy. Join us in celebrating the flavours that bring families together.”
There is a very pleasant outdoor seating area too for those who prefer quiet dining. Plant lovers will be delighted to be surrounded by exotic and healthy plants. There is sufficient parking space and valet parking is also available.
Extensive menu
Fluke Curry serves a very interesting and extensive choice of cuisine: Indian, Hyderabadi, North Indian chaats, Kebabs, Biryani, drinks, soups and desserts.
Aesthetically arranged dishes

It is a great destination for food and drinks as it offers a diverse selection of options that cater to all tastes and dietary preferences. What really stands out is the attention to detail in every item. The ingredients are fresh and the flavours are well-balanced. Every dish that we tried was bursting with freshness and flavour. The care and attention put into crafting each dish was evident in every bite.

Non-alcoholic drinks like cucumber mojito, salted caramel and cookie crumble Oreo shake are very popular here.

Service was quick and starters were the smoky and succulent Aangare tandoori platter, Lucknow ke Tundae Kebab, mixed pakoda platter, samosas and pani puri. The different chutneys were excellent.
Soup
Mutton soup on the bone was delicious as it had been simmering for hours to extract every last bit of flavour.
Main course
Lunch was from the Indian menu of Amritsari Chole Bhature, Rajma Chawal and Chicken curry and rice.
Dessert
The Chocolate Brownie that we chose had just the right amount of sweetness.
Unique vibe
Fluke Curry has a very different vibe that sets it apart from others in the city. The lighting and décor are interesting but not overwhelming, creating an ambience that is warm and inviting. It reminds me of Goa, with lush greenery and beautiful plants and lanterns. It is perfect for a night out with friends or for celebrating something special. It is a place where you can truly enjoy the moment and comfort food at its best.
