Hyderabad: Food Street by Khajaguda Lake has emerged as a new hotspot for foodies in Hyderabad.

This area, connected by new and smooth roads linking Gachibowli and Khajaguda, has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike, particularly those who enjoy venturing at night.

Known for its stunning sunset views, the picturesque location surrounding Khajaguda Lake has become a magnet for sunset lovers. However, what truly sets this spot apart is its bustling food street, offering a gastronomic adventure like no other.

The food scene around Khajaguda Lake has flourished, making it a vibrant hub for street vendors. The offerings range from desi Chinese, shawarmas, and chats to south Indian breakfast items. Whether one craves biryani, pizza, momos, burgers, pani puri, or ice cream, this food street has it all.

The stalls typically open around 5 pm and continue serving until 11:30 or midnight. On weekends, it's advisable to arrive before 8 pm for a wider selection of food options, as popular street food items tend to sell out quickly.

Asgar, a vendor specializing in 'crispy chicken,' shared insights with NewsMeter, stating, "Weekdays see less crowd compared to the weekends. Saturdays and Sundays witness a large number of people, and the food gets over by 9 pm on weekends."

One standout on the Khajaguda Lake Food Street is the South Indian breakfast truck, where ghee idlis and dosas have become late-night favorites for Hyderabadis. The busiest truck around attracts a huge crowd. An interesting find during a visit was their Egg dosa, a clear favorite among late-night munchies.

Adding a unique touch to the culinary experience is an 'Ambassador Car' transformed into a mocktail-selling station. Amarnath, a young lad from Kerala, efficiently crafts amazing mocktails in the car’s trunk, creating a distinctive attraction for visitors.

Food Street also boasts specialties like the famous Bamboo Biryani from Araku Valley, located at the starting part of the street. Other culinary delights include frankies, momos, pani puri, faludas, and more.

Beyond being a haven for satisfying late-night cravings, Khajaguda Lake Food Street has become a popular venue for celebrations. People flock to the area to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions, soaking in the diverse offerings and scenic views.

With its array of delectable choices and picturesque ambiance, the Food Street near Khajaguda Lake is a must-visit for food enthusiasts in Hyderabad, offering a delightful blend of culinary delights against the backdrop of the city's vibrant nightlife.
