Street Food: Visit these places for the best chaat experiences in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: When it comes to chaat, the answer is always yes. Hot aloo tikki, delectable panipuri, and tangy chaat, what would life be like without these delectable treats?

Chaat joints bring people from all walks of life together, and Hyderabad undoubtedly offers some of the greatest chaat joints.

Kuch khatta, kuch meetha, kuch namkeen. Here are our favourite chaat spots in the city for finding the perfect dish that makes your soul happy.

Emerald Mithai Shop

It’s not unusual for sweet shops in Hyderabad to provide chaat, and Emerald Mithai Shop is one such establishment in Banjara Hills.

Pani puri, dahi puri, ragada, aloo tikki, bhel puri, vada pav, and pav bhaji — their chaat selections will satisfy tastes and wallets since the majority of the products are priced around Rs 100. It’s a small location outside the sweet department with limited seats, so don’t anticipate opulent service.

Gokul Chaat

Gokul Chaat in Koti is the city’s most popular snack joint, and it has been winning hearts for the past 50 years. Boisterous, fragrant, and frolicsome, it is always crowded with foodies. It opens at 8.30 am and closes at 11 pm.

Samosa ragda, dahi puri, bhel puri, cold dahi missal, and cut mirchi ragda are among the acidic sweet, and sour foods on their menu.

Gossips & Chaat

If you’re passing through West Marredpally, stop by Gossips & Chaat with your friends for plates of chaat and never-ending chatter.

They provide 15 types of Maggi (beginning at Rs 40), making it a popular hangout spot for hungry college kids. Chaats at Rs 40, vada pav at Rs 25, and sandwiches at Rs 30 to 70 are available. Momos, noodles, fried rice, and parathas are also available, despite the name. The food is extremely nice for the price and has the potential to turn you into a regular client.

Maheshwari Chaat

This chaat restaurant has been open for 20 years and is still a hidden gem. This establishment uses only mineral water and it’s an FSSAI-certified establishment. So, cleanliness is not an issue.

Maheshwari Chaat is a small stall with two locations: one in Sanath Nagar and one outside Krishna Kanth Park. Dahi puri and pav bhaji are must-try dishes here.

Ojha Sweets & Namkeen

Ojha Sweets & Namkeen, a 132-year-old cafe, is worth the drive down to Begum Bazaar. They provide aloo bonda, dahi bhalla, samosa ragda, pyaaz kachori, and numerous Rajasthani foods that are supposedly exclusively available at Ojha in Hyderabad. The food can be hot, so let them know if you prefer anything less fiery.

Bombay Juice

This restaurant in Koti is the ideal blend of sour and spicy. Consider an explosion of tastes and textures accompanied by some well-seasoned chaat, and you will not be disappointed.

Everyone who comes here should taste the papdi and cutlet ragada. It costs Rs 45 per sandwich; ordinary sandwiches cost Rs 35, chocolate sandwiches cost Rs 40, and others cost Rs 65.

Aside from this, you may buy milkshakes, Chinese food, pav-bhaji, and other items. They have lots of seats both indoors and outside, so you can throw a party with your friends.

Shyam Singh Chat Bhandar

Located amid the crowded lanes of Begum Bazaar, this location is famed for its delicious chaat, as well as its dahi wada and pani puri. It can be found at the very end of Begum Bazaar Chatri.

Sharmaji Pav Bhaji Centre

Sharmaji Pav Bhaji Centre is a dhaba in Abids. The ambience is pleasant, and you can get fantastic street food here. This dhaba offers quick cuisine and traditional dhaba fare. They are known for their authentic Punjabi pav bhaji. The masala pav bhaji and butter pav bhaji is the must-try pav bhajis here.

Bhagwati Pani Puri

Located near Kachiguda station, Bhagwati Pani Puri has been owned by Bhagwati Amma for the last 60 years. Known for its lip-smacking pani puri, the joint is said to serve one of the best pani puri in Hyderabad that has not changed in six decades.

Vithu Vada Pav

Vithu Vada Pav in Kondapur is the place to go for real Mumbai wala vada pav. The Mumbaiya vada pav, presented with a little green chilli, will take you to a local vada pav vendor in Mumbai, which is exactly what we all want, don’t you think? For some added heat and fusion, try Ching’s schezwan vada pav.
