Uttar Dakshin has had the distinction of bringing together maestros from North and South India in inspiring jugalbandis that celebrate unity through music.

Music Lovers in Hyderabad are in for their annual treat: the confluence of India’s rich classical traditions with the 15th session of Uttar Dakshin.
This is an annual concert series organized by Surmandal in association with Vivid Arts and Entertainment. The concert will be held on Saturday, 14th February 2026, at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad, at 6:30 pm.
Classical Brilliance
The 15th Season-a Jugalbandi of Hindustani and Carnatic Music-will be an enthralling evening of classical brilliance, as it features an unmatchedJugalbandi between two greats of Indian classical music. The world-famous Hindustani vocalist Pandit JayateerthMevundi Ji, known for his powerful gayaki and deep-rooted Jaipur-Atrauli lineage, will share the stage with globally acclaimed Carnatic flautist Shri Shashank Subramanyam Ji, celebrated for his virtuosity and innovative approach to the bamboo flute.

Adding to this musical dialogue will be an equally eminent percussion ensemble, with Shri V. Narhari Ji on Tabla representing the Hindustani rhythmic tradition, and Shri Satish Patri Ji on Mridangam bringing the depth and precision of Carnatic laya. Together, the artists will weave an evening of melody, rhythm, and spontaneous creativity, embodying the true spirit of Uttar Dakshin.
