For those who would like to stay at home and avoid the traffic and parking issues, some very easy-to-make recipes look and taste delicious to ensure that you don’t spend all your time in the kitchen.
Chicken Stroganoff
(Vegetarians can make Mushroom stroganoff with double the quantity of Mushrooms used in this recipe)
Ingredients
500 grams chicken breast, sliced one onion, chopped
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup cream
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth (you can use a chicken or vegetable cube mixed with water)
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Fettuccini noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
Heat olive oil or melted butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
Add the sliced chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through.
Stir in the sliced mushrooms and flour, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until the mushrooms begin to soften.
Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Reduce the heat and blend in the cream. Stir well.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the stroganoff over cooked Fettuccini noodles or steamed white rice, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Fresh Strawberry Mousse
This easy-to-make Strawberry dessert is made with only three ingredients, and there is no baking involved.
Ingredients
One box of fresh strawberry (keep a few aside for the topping)
Half cup granulated sugar
1 cup whole or whipping cream (this should be cold)
Extra strawberries for topping
Instructions
Wash, drain, and slice the strawberries. In a blender, add the sliced strawberries and the sugar and puree. Remove half a cup of puree and set aside.
In a cold bowl, add the cream and beat until stiff peaks form. Then, fold in the remaining puree gently.
Pour in the half cup of puree at the bottom of medium-sized glasses and top with the strawberry mousse. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours overnight if you are making it a day in advance. Top with fresh sliced strawberries and serve.
