Man kills son over the alleged property dispute in Vizag
By Newsmeter Network Published on 12 Aug 2020 10:10 AM GMTVisakhapatnam: A man killed his son following an argument over the property at Satyanagar near Chinamushidivada area in Pendurthi police station limits, Vizag city, on Wednesday.
The accused, G. Veerraju, a retired seaman who worked in Mumbai, hit his son,
G. Jalaraju, 40, working as a seaman in Mumbai, with a hammer on his head, and he died instantaneously.
The argument over property made the tempers run high and in a fit of rage, Veeraju, who lost his cool, attacked his son with a hammer. Jalaraju died on the spot with severe head injuries and his body was found in the cellar of the residential complex in a pool of blood.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Jalaraju came to Vizag, a few days ago, and had an altercation with his father over some property. He had a grouse that his father transferred more property in the name of his daughters than to him.
On information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to a morgue for autopsy. The accused surrendered to the police. A case has been registered against Veerraju and investigation is on.
