Monsoons to withdraw from Oct 9 , but rains in Telangana and Andhra to continue
By Newsmeter Network Published on 9 Oct 2019 8:09 AM GMTHyderabad: In a fresh forecast, the IMD has issued a ‘yellow warning’ for two Telugu states indicating rains in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will continue. The two states to receive heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm from 9th to 11th of October.
So far the monsoons have been active over the states, heavy showers were registered on Dussehra, dampening the festive spirit. Heavy showers were registered across many districts on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Southwest monsoon to begins its withdrawal from West Rajasthan around October 9th . Rains to gradually decrease over north and central India, However the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are likely to receive rainfall till the 3rd week of October, said the weather observers.

Speaking to Newsmeter , P Mahesh chief meteorologist- Skymet, an independent weather observatory body, said, “ There will be a rapid withdrawal over northern and central parts of India in a span of 3-4 days increase the date of withdrawal. But rains over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is likely to continue due to the prevailing trough”.
He further adds, “The rainfall intensity may not be high. Many parts may receive light to moderate rainfall. The two states will not see a dry weather until the North-eastern monsoons.”
