Nizamabad man suspected with coronavirus admitted to Gandhi Hospital
By Newsmeter Network Published on 4 March 2020 6:13 AM GMTHyderabad: Even before Telangana could get over the shock after registering the first case of coronavirus, there was more bad news in store for the state as another person suspected to be suffering from the deadly infection was admitted to the hospital.
The man from Ellareddypally visited a private hospital in Kamareddy complaining of fever and cold. Identified as Balraj, he was referred to Gandhi Hospital, Hyderabad, where he was admitted to the isolation ward.
Balraj had returned from Dubai about a week ago. Since he was suffering from severe fever and cold, he visited a private hospital in Kamareddy for a check-up. Doctors treating him suspected that he might be infected with coronavirus and advised him to visit Gandhi Hospital. On Tuesday he was brought to Gandhi Hospital where he was admitted to the isolation ward.
Panic gripped Nizamabad soon after the news about suspected coronavirus patient spread in the area.
Kamareddy Incharge District Medical and Health officer, Chandrasekhar said the patient didn't have too many symptoms of coronavirus.
Nizamabad Medical Health Department Officer, Sudarsanam said the patient has been suffering from cold and fever ever since he came back from Dubai.
Meanwhile, the confirmed coronavirus patients have increased to 19.
