Hyderabad: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, on Friday, shared details of the second charter plane that would get back Indian students stuck in Kyrgyzstan amid the novel Coronavirus pandemic. In a tweet, Sonu Sood revealed that the flight will take off at 3 pm on Friday from Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek. The flight will land at Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. The actor further asked all the students to report at the airport on time. He wrote, “Good news friends. Flight from Kyrgyzstan to Vizag will take off at 3 pm today, July 24, from Bishkek..be at the airport on time folks. Time to meet your families (sic).”
Talking to NewsMeter, Sonu Sood said, “I remember while sending all these migrants back to their homes I learnt about these students stuck in these little states of Kyrgyzstan. There were about 2,000-4,000 students and when I contacted them, they were really in a very bad shape and one of them had also died. The god’s been kind enough that they are guiding me right, we have our first flight back, the one to Varanasi, now even more to Vizag, Delhi and Hyderabad. This is the best stage of my life, the best character I have ever played in my life and am glad that god chose me to help these people. When they put all their faith in you and they know you are going to help them and the thought of being united with their parents and family that is because they hope and that should be considered and I feel motivated to help them.”
"I am so excited to go home. I am right now in the flight and it will take off any minute, with me, there are 210 other students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. We cannot thank Sonu sir for his efforts and help, he is our hero," said Tejaswi, a student stuck in Kyrgyzstan.
Recently, comedian-actor Kapil Sharma hailed Sonu Sood's efforts to help migrants on Twitter. He tweeted, "Sonu paaji iss samay aap jo kaam zaruratmand logon ke liye kar rahe ho, usski tareef ke liye har shabd chhota hai, filmon mein bhale hi aap ne khalnayak ki bhumika nibhayi ho, par asal zindagi mein aap hamare hero ho. Bhagwan kare aap dirgha aayu hon aur hamesha khush rahen (Sonu brother, words fall short to praise your efforts to help the needy in these times. You may play the villain in films, but you are our hero in real life. May god bless you with a long life and may you always be happy.)”
Replying to the comedian on the micro-blogging site, Sonu Sood tweeted, “Thank u so much mere bhai.. it's all because of the wishes of my brothers like u. Love u bhaji (sic).”
