Police nabs Nizamabad man for posting vulgar comments on Hyderabad rape victim

The accused, Chavan Sriram (22) hailing from Nizamabad district, uploaded pictures of the victim on social media. He made vulgar comments on Facebook about the Hyderabad veterinarian.
Reportedly, the police registered a suo-moto case on November 30, after they learnt of the anonymous Facebook posts. Netizens made abusive and provocative comments on the rape and murder of Disha. Moreover, the posts were widely shared and circulated across several social media platforms, and so the police registered a case.
The officials caught Sriram on Tuesday based on the technical evidence. Inquiries revealed that the accused, who is on Facebook by the name of Stalin Sriram, posted abusive content via his mobile phone.
Police suspect that he is addicted to pornography. He was arrested, and his mobile phone was seized. Besides, officials are in the process of identifying more individuals who had shared and circulated his posts on social media.
