Rachakonda police arrests 'Night HB Manikandan’ gang, seizes Rs.22 lakhs property
By Renoj Roy Published on 6 Jan 2020 2:06 PM GMTHyderabad: The Rachakonda Police, on Monday, arrested ‘Night HB Manikandan’ - a gang comprising of four members - involved in 27 cases of theft. The officers of Central Crime Station of Rachakonda seized the property worth Rs.22 lakhs from the notorious gang.
According to the police, during the day the accused would recce places and identify locked houses where the residents are out for a long period and would make the move during night time. They carried Air Gun, Pepper Spray, Knives and other blunt weapons for the operation. They use these weapons to threaten people. The main accused Ganesh also impersonated of being a Task Force constable and misled people.

The accused arrested are - Vardan Manikandan aka Ganesh, Pilla Yadaiah aka Yadi, Shaik Syed aka Saleem and Mulupoju Upendra Chary aka Chary.
Arakla Laxminarayana aka Raju, who is also a member of this gang was arrested earlier on December 18th. The police recovered 47.5 Thulas of gold ornaments, 2 KG of silver ornaments, an Air Gun with pellets, 2 Pepper spray, 3 Bikes, 3 TV’s, a Piano and 2 Knives.
The accused were arrested from Meerpet by the CCS team of Rachakonda. A total of 27 cases have been registered against these accused. They are charged under Section 380(Theft in dwelling house) and IPC Section 457(House-breaking) of IPC.
