Say no to parties in the time of coronavirus!

Hyderabad: Coronavirus scare has forced people to cancel parties and social gatherings lined up for this festive season in Hyderabad.
Many functions lined up from Wednesday till the weekend have been cancelled. Pubs, hotels, and resorts are also mulling cancelling all weekend programs to avoid any trouble.
One such case is of Businessman Gopal Reddy and his wife Bharathi from Chintal, Jeedimetla. They had planned a grand celebration to mark the 25th wedding anniversary on Thursday.
Reddy's family had been making preparations for the past one month for the event. From preparing the guest list to finalizing the menu, the family had made gala plans for senior Reddyās marriage anniversary.
Come Tuesday, Hyderabad went into a panic mode after news about coronavirus patients being admitted to the hospital spread in the city.
Initially, the family thought to go ahead with their celebration, but after observing the public mood, they decided to call off the function.
From Wednesday afternoon, the couple and their children started calling up the guests informing them about the cancellation. They also communicated to hall management and the caterers about the cancellation.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Government has also issued an advisory urging people to avoid mass gatherings, maintain personal hygiene in a bid to control the spread of the virus.
