SBI Dabeerpura sealed after customer tests positive for Covid-19

According to sources, one of the bank account holders in SBI Dabeerpura, had frequented the branch during the past few days. After the test results came out positive, the branch has been shut since Saturday (May 30), sources said.
Meanwhile, the GHMC officials conducted thermal screening tests for the employees of the SBI Dabeerpura branch, which could remain closed for the next 14 days, while official confirmation is awaited.
Dabeerpura station house officer N. Satyanarayana said that the matter was under inspection and more details will be provided soon. “The area has been sealed off for now, while quarantine measures for employees are under process,” the officer said.
Earlier, on May 19, SBI had shut its Puranapul branch after a customer who visited the bank was suspected to have succumbed to Covid-19. In a different case, a 54-year-old man working for SBI in Hyderabad died of Covid-19 on May 18. He was working as a messenger at the SBI, Head Office, located in Koti.
With several relaxations brought about in the Covid-19 lockdown, the number of patients in Telangana saw a massive jump on May 31, with 199 new cases being reported on a single day.
With this, the total number of local Covid-19 cases in the state has reached 2,264. On the other hand, the total number of foreign returnees, migrants and deported citizens who have tested positive for the virus has reached 434.
