Security beefed up at Gandhi hospital after COVID-19 patient attacks Jr Doc

Around 200 police personnel from various ranks were deployed at the hospital as a part of a 3-tier security measure, DCP North Zone Kalmesh Singenwar told media persons on Thursday.
This is for the first time when forces have been deployed in huge numbers to guard the staff at the hospital
As a part of the new security arrangements, the building where corona patients and suspects are being treated will have a sub-inspector on each floor. One inspector rank officer will monitor four each floor, which means two Inspector rank officers are deployed in the eight-floor building.
Further, two Inspector rank officers will guard the entrances. Two Additional DCP rank officers, 12 Inspectors, 27 sub-inspectors, constables and home guards including women staff have been deployed at the hospital for surveillance.
Meanwhile, the medical fraternity has demanded deployment of armed forces at the hospitals where corona suspects and patients are treated.
