Bengal Pacer Ashok Dinda abuses bowling coach, excluded from team
By Anurag Mallick Published on 25 Dec 2019 7:06 AM GMTHyderabad: Test discard and Bengal's front-line pacer, Ashok Dinda has been dropped from the team as he abused the team's bowling coach, Ranadeb Bose ahead of their Ranji Trophy clash with Andhra on Wednesday.
Dinda reportedly took offence of the 'private conversation' between Bengal captain, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Bose in the dressing room. However, an official from the CAB cleared the air and said that they were having a discussion with the team's video analyst. Dinda also refused to apologise after he was asked to offer an unconditional apology by the CAB.
He had also refused to join the preparatory camp soon after his exclusion from the team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Dinda is reportedly having issues will Bose ever since the two were a part of the Bengal team. He had also differences with Chief selector, Palash Nandy.
Speaking to media, Bengal Coach Arun lal - " Dinda abused Ranadeb Bose. He didn't apologise even after being asked by the CAB secretary, which is very sad and unfortunate."
The veteran medium pacer has played 116 first-class games scalping 420 wickets since 2005 and has been a pillar in Bengal's domestic circuit.
