Teacher held for molesting Std VIII girl student in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A government school teacher has been arrested for allegedly molesting a girl student on the school premises at Neredmet of Hyderabad. The accused was remanded in judicial custody on Friday.

According to the police, Jagadeeshwar of Rangareddy district taught social science to higher classes at a Zilla Parishad school. He had allegedly misbehaved with a girl student from Std VIII. The teacher landed behind bars after the teenager narrated her ordeal to her parents, who filed a police complaint on Friday.

As per the initial investigation, Jagadeeshwar has been found to be a habitual offender, said sources. He had allegedly molested several girl students at the school. He now faces charges under the IPC and the stringent POCSO.
