Telangana's 2nd Coronavirus patient developed symptoms in Khammam

Hyderabad: The 24-year-old student from Khammam district of Telangana, who returned from novel COVID19 hit Italy, tested positive for Coronavirus. This marks the second case in Telangana.
The latter returned to her hometown for a holiday on March 7th.
According to the doctors at Gandhi Hospital- Hyderabad, the student who is pursuing her masters in Italy, developed symptoms during her stay in Khammam. She was first taken to a private hospital in the district. However, she did not respond well to the treatment.
The latter was moved to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad, three days ago and was placed under observation, while samples were sent to National Institute of Virology (NIV) Pune.
Notably, the news of the second COVID19 case comes hours after the first patient was discharged. The family of the patient has been kept under isolation, while she is admitted to the ward dedicated to COVID19 patients in Gandhi Hospital.
Besides the second positive case, two more fresh suspects of COVID-19 have been admitted to Gandhi Hospital. While one returned from Netherland another from Italy. All the three patients had reached Hyderabad on March 13.
