Case of missing Apple techie leaves police running in loops
By Newsmeter Network Published on 6 Jan 2020 12:55 PM GMTHyderabad: The mystery around missing Apple techie Rohitha Kuthuru continues even after almost two weeks. Rohitha who left her rented flat on December 26, was last seen boarding an auto rickshaw near her apartment and getting off near the IIIT junction. She was seen walking towards DLF building which is on the other side of the road. Since Rohitha had left behind her Apple mobile phone and laptop in her flat, she could not be traced all the way. Lack of CCTV cameras in the DLF vicinity has further made it difficult for the police to track her whereabouts.
Rohitha, who belongs to Chaderghat of Hyderabad, got married to Abhishek in 2015. However from the past two years, the two were living seperately. While working with Apple, she was residing at a rented flat in Mantri Celestia Apartments in Nanakramguda. She was staying there for the past few months along with two friends.
After she did not respond to repeated calls from her family members, they came searching for her only to find her missing. Without wasting much time, they lodged a complaint at Gachibowli police station.
A missing case was registered and special teams were deputed to trace her. During enquiry, police found that she stepped out of the apartment, walked till Wipro circle at around 3:15pm on December 26. From there she took an auto rickshaw and went till IIIT junction, after which her whereabouts are not to be traced.
While the investigation so far had not yielded any result, her family is worried about her safety. The police is verifying her mobile call data records on the days before she went missing. They have also enquired people at her flatmates and colleagues to know if she was going through any troubled situation. However, nothing helpful came out during these interactions, making the case hit a major roadblock.
