Third case of COVID-19 Local transmission in Telangana : Total 37 tested +Ve

This takes the overall number of Coronavirus patients in the state to 37. The 37th case is a 64 year-old woman from Manikonda, a family member of a COVID-19 patient, this is the third case of COVID-19 local transmission in Telangana.
The other three cases include one 49 yrs man from Kokapet, Rangareddy with a travel history from London. The other two patients are women. One is a 39 year old resident of Chandanagar, Rangareddy with travel history from Germany and the other is a 61 year old resident of Begumpet, Hyderabad with travel history from Saudi Arabia.
The number of cases has seen a steep increase. On Monday, Telangana had witnessed six new Coronavirus cases in a single day. While five of them had travel history from various countries, one was a contact of the group from Indonesia.
All the cases have been admitted in Gandhi hospital, one of the nodal centres for coronavirus in the state.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, total number of active Covid-19 cases so far in the country is 446, as on 23rd March. 37 cured/discharged/migrated cases.
