TS govt passes all TOSS SSC and inter candidates
By Newsmeter Network Published on 24 July 2020 10:26 AM GMTHyderabad: The Telangana Government announced on Friday, 24th July, that all the candidates enrolled in the Telangana Open School Society SSC and intermediate courses have been declared 'passed.'
All candidates who had registered and were eligible to appear for the TOSS exams in April/ May have been declared 'passed' by awarding the minimum 35% passing marks in every subject.
After an announcement on 23rd July that exams scheduled to be held in April/May were cancelled, the result was declared today. The exams were postponed after a nationwide lockdown was imposed on 24th March.
An 8 member committee was formed on 31st May to decide upon the model in which results of students would be declared, gave its recommendation for the revised evaluation scheme.
Students pursuing Science, vocational subjects, and an practical subjects in SSC and intermediate years have also been declared 'passed' with a minimum 35% mark.
The government also announced that those wishing to appear for evaluation can do so once the condition pertaining to COVID has improved, and there is a schedule formulated for the same.
In the TS inter 2nd year exams, 68.86% of students have been promoted. The pass percentage for the 1st year stood at 60.1%.
