Two COVID positive cases in Ruby block of Rainbow Vistas, families quarantined

Hyderabad: A father son duo residing in the Ruby block of Rainbow Vistas Apartment in Hyderabad, have been tested positive for Covid-19. The medical reports of the father, a private employee and son, a medico revealed about their infection on Thursday, 21 May. The two have been shifted to Gandhi hospital.

The resident welfare association (RWA) of the Raindow Vistas confirmed,"We have a confirmation of two positive cases of a family in I - Ruby block, 13th floor flat. As per the directives of government authorities, the 13th floor of the Ruby block has been made into a isolation / containment zone for the next 28 days. Disinfection of all the appropriate locations has already been completed"

The testimony of the COVID patient read, "My son and myself were running temperatures since Saturday night. As a precautionary measure, we self quarantined ourselves. The temperatures continued to rise till Tuesday following which we decided to undergo test at Chest Hospital. The medical reports revealed positive for COVID. My mother lives with us, so far she showed no symptoms but she will as well undergo test. At present our health is stable," said the patient.

Meanwhile, GHMC has asked all residents in the gated community to stay put wherever they are, including offices. 'The 13th floor of Ruby block, where the family lived has been closed and declared as a containment zone for 28 days', a statement read.

A statement from the Resident welfare association of the gated community, read. "All residents are hereby directed to confine themselves to their homes immediately. We have received notification from government authorities of COVID-19 positive case(s) in our community. We are awaiting the arrival of authorities and shall proceed with next steps as advised by them / laid-down protocols. We request all to stay calm, not to panic and not resort to speculations / rumours" read the message.
