Vijay Deverakonda on dealing with trolls: I am giving them sleepless nights
By Newsmeter Network Published on 13 Feb 2020 1:58 PM GMTHyderabad: Vijay Deverakonda is the talk of the town, thanks to his upcoming film World Famous Lover. The romantic film is all geared up to hit the screens in multiple languages on Valentine's Day. Directed by Kranthi Madhav, the film is tipped to be a concoction of love stories about four couples. Deverakonda will share the screen space with Raashi Khanna, Aishwarya Rajesh, Catherine Tresa, and Izabelle Leite in the much-anticipated film.
In a recent interview with a leading daily, the Geetha Govindam star revealed that he likes being a topic of interest among the trolls. "I love trolls. I like being a topic of interest; Iād urge others to enjoy the trolling. People are spending quality time to create memes and captions about, say, my fashion sense or films. Perhaps I am giving trolls sleepless nights. It appears that Iām featuring in their wildest dreams," the actor said.
Now, this is a different side of Vijay Deverakonda the audience is getting to see. Last year, the actor was annoyed after he was criticised for glorifying and defending abusive behaviour in his film Arjun Reddy. When Malayalam-Tamil actress Parvathy pointed out the same at a round table, Vijay Deverakonda had defended the film. At an international film festival, he had said that he needs to school such people and make them understand the film's vision.
However, Vijay Deverakonda seems to have made peace with the trolls. Speaking at the pre-release event of World Famous Lover, he said that he's a changed person now and is entering a new phase in his life. He further said that the new film will be the last love story in his career.
