As part of measures to check the increasing number of positive Covid-19 cases, the police were found to be whisking away those violating the norms in special vehicles even when they were pleading to be excused for this time and promising not to repeat the same. The violators had no option but to plead relentlessly to be let off as they were caught unawares by the police.

The scenes in Anantapur were captured on mobile phones by onlookers and they too are making the audience erupt in laughter after going viral on social media.
On Friday, the police, along with the medical and health department personnel, carried out surprise raids at a few places in Anantapur and shifted the violators to quarantine centres.
On Thursday, Anantapur witnessed a surge in the Covid-19 cases with 67 being recorded within 24 hours, taking the case load to 647 in the district.
