YS Vivekananda Reddy's murder case: daughter seeks CBI probe,files PIL in AP HC

Vijayawada: Daughter of former minister late Y S Vivekananda Reddy, Dr. Suneetha has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Andhra Pradesh High court, seeking CBI probe into the murder of her father.
The petitioner (referring to Dr.Suneetha Narreddy) has informed the court that, āthere is no further probe in the murder of Y S Vivekananda by the YSRC government who are 10 months into governanceā.
So far, the Special investigating team-SIT constituted following the death, have interrogated close to 20 suspects and have collected clues, evidence in connection with the case. Forensic reports have confirmed that it was a murder, he (referring to the leader) was stabbed to death , found the preliminary post-mortem report. However , there is no further process. The CBI should investigate and all accused should be punished, Dr Suneetha appealed.
Notably, this is the second PIL filed seeking CBI inquiry into the incident . Earlier B Anil, working president of Republic party of India appealed the court for a CBI probe.
Days before the General elections-2019 in Andhra Pradesh, YS Vivekananda Reddy, former minister and younger brother of late Ex-CM YS Rajashekar Reddy, was found dead at his residence in Kadapa district. He died two days after he was spotted with Nephew and present CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Lotus Pond ( Currently APās CM Office in Telangana)
