After Indiaā€™s defeat in the ICC World CUP 2023, a video went viral in which a man claimed that the final between India and Australia would be played again. He is also making a bizarre claim while the Indians struggled, the Aussie players could score runs because they were using bats fitted with springs.

He could be heard saying in the viral video, ā€œThere is big news coming from Narendra Modi stadium. Though Australia won the World Cup, the final match will be played again because it was found that Australians were using bats fitted with spring. While Indian batters like Rohit and Kohli failed, the Australian batters thrashed Indian bowlers like anything. Because of this, BCCI doubted that Australian batters were using spring bats and found the same in the investigation. ICC also fined Australia for not following the script of Jay Shah. At present, there is a discussion going to finalize the schedule of the final match.ā€

An Instagram page, The Fauxy Sports, shared the video with the caption, ā€œSpring found in Australian batsman's bat, World Cup final will be held again.ā€ (Translated from Hindi caption)
