Diablo, Vault Brewery and Mirell in Jubilee Hills serve up creative summer delights
Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s dining scene continues to evolve with new openings and creative menus celebrating everything from Mediterranean classics to mango-infused Indian cuisine. Three restaurants—Diablo, Vault Brewery, and Mirell—offer distinct experiences across the culinary spectrum, each rooted in a unique concept and execution.
Diablo: A Mediterranean escape in Jubilee Hills
The newly opened Diablo in Jubilee Hills offers a curated blend of Roman-inspired interiors and Mediterranean cuisine. From its striking glass façade to the grand chandeliers and Roman statues, the ambience sets the tone for a multi-sensory experience.

A variety of starters introduced the meal, including falafel with hummus and Turkish bazlama — warm flatbread that paired well with the creamy dip.
The Siciliana filo pastry pizza brought a unique twist, swapping the traditional dough for crisp filo layers, topped with vegetables and cheese. A shift to Indian flavours followed with the Kabuli pulao Diablo special mutton, praised for its rich spices and tender meat. Asian flavours also found a place with the burnt garlic crystal dumplings, served in a traditional basket.
To end, the fried chocolate roll stands out — a crispy shell with gooey filling, complemented by ice cream and chocolate drizzle.
Vault Brewery: A mango-themed celebration
Vault Brewery’s seasonal mango menu highlights the versatility of the summer fruit across diverse cuisines.

The Mexican mango tacos stand out for their layered flavours — creamy avocado-mango salsa, baked beans, and feta on soft tortillas. Next, the mango malai chicken tikka combined the smoky char of the tandoor with a subtly sweet mango glaze. The Thai mango curry provides a balance of spice and fruit, with chili oil heat mellowed by juicy mango.
Paired with craft ciders, the experience was a tribute to mango in both nostalgia and innovation.
Mirell: A vegetarian fusion experience
Mirell, a vegetarian café in Rai Durg, challenges the assumption that meat dominates Hyderabad’s culinary identity. Its Indo-Asian offerings provide a refreshing alternative.

The ambience is intimate, with sculptural glassware and a space for live music. Among the starters, mocktails like the lemongrass fire martini and ruby martini offered light, flavourful openings.
Popular for fusion dishes, Mirell’s Uramaki sushi and Schezwan garden pizza balanced global formats with local touches — bell peppers, carrots, and bold spices. The black bean ramen brought together paneer fingers, broccoli, and a soy-black bean sauce blend.
The Indian thali-style Mirell combo offers a comforting mix of dal makhani, paneer butter masala, naan, and jeera rice.
The meal can end with a pistachio milk cake, a soft dessert soaked in sweetened milk, reminiscent of Hyderabad’s qubani ka meetha.
From the lavish setting at Diablo to Vault’s mango-forward creativity and Mirell’s fusion vegetarian offerings, Hyderabad’s food landscape remains dynamic. These spots reflect the city’s growing appetite for variety and cultural blend — a testament to how deeply food remains woven into its everyday life.
